I also don't use a wireless router, but plug in with ethernet cables. Since I have a 2008 iMac, I ordered it with a Mighty Mouse and keyboard that have cables. I'd like to try the Magic Mouse, but since it's wireless, I'll wait. I don't have a dirty electricity filter, but I do shut down every night and unplug from the wall.
